DIY: Chalkboard Mug

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

I know it’s technically Wednesday, but since I don’t have to go to work tomorrow it feels like a Friday to me!! Here it is… My 1st DIY post. This project is so quick and easy, and I’m now completely obsessed with chalkboard paint. I find myself thinking of anything and everything to use it on!

I picked up all the supplies at my local Hobby Lobby. I kept the design very simple, but you can get as creative as you want when applying the chalkboard paint.

I love the way it turned out and I have so much fun writing & drawing little notes and pictures on it. How cool would this be for a party favor at a dessert/coffee party?! You can even write your guest’s name on the mug for table seating, instead of using name cards. I swear, the things you can do with chalkboard paint are endless! Can’t wait to share more fun DIY’s with you guys.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for reading

  1. Where did you get that mug? I LOVE it!
Also, has that chalkboard paint held up well to washing? I was told to use the Pebeo Ceramic Chalkboard paint, but it’s on back-order until mid-January everywhere I can find it. :(

    • Thanks! The mug is from the local dollar store. I used Americana Chalkboard paint and it does begin to wear off after a few washes. Pebeo shouldn’t wear (its dishwasher safe). Have you checked amazon.com?
